About Meghan Irving:

 

Meghan Irving was born on September 9th in Mount Vernon, New York and grew up in Naperville, Illinois outside Chicago. Dad was a musician growing up in Queens and directed his own choir at age 16, but chose a career in commercial real estate. Mom is from the Caribbean island of Barbados and was a professional model.

 

Meghan's first solo performance in front of a crowd was at age 8.

 

 Her biggest influences include Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Aaliyah, Whitney Houston, Sia, and Amy Winehouse.

 

Meghan wrote her first song at age 11, and throughout junior high and high school she participated in countless talent shows and productions such as Les Miserable, The Wiz, and Bye Bye Birdie.

 

After a talent show she was scouted by Austin Nelson, a recording studio owner and soon began recording her own original material.

 

She graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she "gained a lot of much needed life experience" and was inspired to write the songs on her debut EP "Under The Influence" and many more.

 

She now lives in Brooklyn, NY and works full time while writing, recording and performing her original music.
