BIO:

Meghan Irving is a singer/songwriter born in Mt. Vernon, New York on September 9th, and was raised in Naperville, Illinois. With her Mother, a former model from Barbados, and her Father, a musician turned Minister/Businessman. Meghan has had a unique blend of music played throughout her life.

"My Dad was always playing R&B, jazz, and gospel music around the house or in the car and he made SURE that I knew everything about Michael Jackson. My Mom, on the other hand, was very into reggae and rock music like The Beatles, Aerosmith, and Bruce Springsteen" she says.

Meghan cites a church performance at age 9 when she was given the lead solo as the moment she knew she wanted to be a singer. She wrote her first song at age 11 and throughout school, she dove into musical theatre. She danced and sang in shows like Les Miserable, Bye Bye Birdie, and The Wiz. During a talent show at age 16, she was scouted by Austin Nelson, a producer and studio owner. She began working on original material and stepped into a booth for the first time. At home, Meghan would teach herself how to play songs on piano by ear. During this time she also began posting covers on YouTube under the name "SinginChica303."

At age 18 she wanted to pursue music full-time, but her parents encouraged her to pursue an education. With resistance, she went to Marquette University to study Broadcasting and Marketing. During those years, Meghan began writing what would become her first EP “Under The Influence” which was released in 2015.

After graduation, Meghan packed her bags and moved to back New York.

After settling in Brooklyn, she hit the open mic circuit. She has sung at Prohibition, Silvana's, Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar, and The Village Underground. She's also performed at venues like The Paper Box, MIST Harlem, TenderTrap, and Lovecraft. She was featured on The Shade Room for their "Music Series" where she sang a mash-up of Sia's "Cheap Thrills" and her original song "I Don't Wanna Wait."

Her latest EP ‘The 5’ was released in 2018. From that EP she’s performed at acclaimed venues The Bitter End and SOBs, as well as DROM and The Delancey. She also joined forces with Apple and performed at their Williamsburg location and delivered a keynote on how she shot her music video “Never A Bride” entirely with an iPhone X.

Meghan Irving's music is available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, and Soundcloud.
